Email domain verification
How to Add & Verify Your email domain in NetWise
This guide walks you through setting up a branded sender email so that emails from NetWise (e.g., wholesale approval notifications) come from your own domain instead of a generic address.
Step 1: Go to Settings
From the NetWise app in your shopify admin, navigate to settings. You'll see the Domain tab with the message "No emails added."

Step 2: Click "Add email"
Click the "Add email" button (top-right corner or the one in the center of the page).

Step 3: Enter Your Email Address
A popup will appear with the field "Enter your email".
- Type in the email you want to send from (e.g., [email protected])
- Click "Add"

Tip: Use a professional email that matches your store domain (e.g., [email protected], [email protected]). Avoid Gmail/Yahoo addresses.
Step 4: Add the DNS Record
After adding your email, the settings page will show:
- Your email with a "Not verified" badge
- A "Default store name" field
- A DNS record table with the following details:

You need to add this CNAME record to your domain's DNS settings:
- Log in to your domain provider (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains, etc.)
- Go to DNS settings or DNS management
- Add a new CNAME record:
- Name/Host: Copy the value from the "Name" column (use the copy icon) - Value/Points to: Copy the value from the "Value" column (use the copy icon) - TTL: Leave as default (or set to Auto)
- Save the DNS record
Note: DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to propagate.
Step 5: Verify the Record
Once you've added the DNS record:
- Come back to NetWise > Settings > Domain
- Click the "Verify records" button (top-right of the email card)
- If the DNS has propagated, the status will change from "Not verified" to "Verified" (shown in green)

If verification fails, wait a few hours and try again - DNS propagation can take time.
Step 6: You're Done
Once verified, you'll see:
- A green "Verified" badge next to "Email"
- The CNAME record status showing "Verified"

All branded emails from NetWise will now be sent using your domain.
Managing Your Email
Click the three-dot menu (...) next to your email address to:
- Change email - Switch to a different sender email
- Remove - Delete this email and its domain verification
